Job summary

Flex is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Director to lead the Prai, Penang-based engineering team. You will direct planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and operations for engineering functions to deliver cost-effective, high-quality products and customer solutions.

You will manage budgeting, strategy development, and cross-functional collaboration with executives and other senior managers, while driving supplier and process improvements across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a Master’s or MBA is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience including broad-based management and supervision.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Ability to present and communicate effectively to top management and boards.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of engineers and staff; plan, budget, and maintain costs for a broad functional area.
• Drive engineering strategies to deliver customer requirements and Flex capabilities.
• Review customer contracts and engineering designs to outline requirements and considerations.
• Interact with executives, customers, and regulatory agencies regularly.
