Job summary

ESCATEC Electronics Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a production team in Penang. You will guide operators and line leaders to achieve high-quality output, manage attendance, and drive continuous improvement within a matrix structure.

Ideal candidates have a diploma in manufacturing management or equivalent, with at least one year of computer experience and 4 years in electronics or plastic injection molding.

Qualifications

• Preferably a Diploma in Manufacturing Management.
• Must have at least 1 year computer knowledge.
• Preferably 4 years experience in electronics or plastic injection molding.

Responsibilities

• Lead production team to meet customer demand and backlogs, focusing on high mix, low volume output.
• Monitor and supervise operators, material handlers and line leaders; provide training and follow-up.
• Track daily attendance, resolve grievances, and compile WIP inventory.
• Record daily output, test yield and efficiency; enforce discipline among staff.
• Drive continuous improvement and optimize machine utilization per master production plan.
• Conduct morning briefings and ensure quality and safety before work starts.
• Collaborate with supporting groups and business units to meet customer satisfaction.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and safe working environment.

Job description

Lead a production team independently, meeting customer demand or orders increasing in short period of time, recover backlog if any, work towards low volume and high mix production, and follow company standard operating procedures.

To monitor and supervise the production operators, material handlers and line leaders in achieving high quantity and quality output through conducting training with regular periodic follow up and reviewing their work performance.

Follow up daily attendance, resolve grievances, compile inventory of Work- In-progress, record daily output/test yield & efficiency and ensure employees are well disciplined.

Manage resources efficiently to achieve company objectives, improve efficiency and productivity and implement continuous improvement plans.

To lead the team of production operators & line leaders to meet production targets such as conduct morning briefing or GYAT meeting to create their awareness without time wastes and quality prevention before work start.

Interact with supporting groups & business division to meet customer satisfaction.

Work in a matrix structure, actively involve and provide services to MyCom needs and goals

Ensure daily active SFC is closed on time and minimize scrap cost.

Fully utilize the machine at production according to the standard time given with the proper machine schedule or production master plan.

To maintain 5S housekeeping at all times in order to work in safe and better working environment

Requirements

Preferably diploma in Manufacturing Management

Preferably 4 years experience either in electronics or plastic injection molding

Must possess strong leadership skills & ability to communicate effectively with support groups & other departments

Must have at least 1 year computer knowledge
