Frencken Mechatronics (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Material Planner in Malaysia to oversee inventory management and ensure an adequate supply of materials for production. The ideal candidate will have a degree in business or logistics and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine required materials and load demand into system
• Ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production
• Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, forecast demand, etc.
• Schedule and oversee the supply and delivery of materials and products
• Track production volume and monitor customer demand patterns and purchasing trends
• Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations

Requirements

• Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position
• Proficiency in using materials planning software and manufacturing resource planning (MRP) systems
• Knowledge of inventory control methods, forecasting techniques, and demand planning
• Familiarity with production planning, scheduling, and capacity planning processes
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the materials supply
• Knowledge in using SAP system is preferred
• Proficiency in using software such as Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
