Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a careful packer to inspect, sort, and pack pastries while maintaining high quality and FIFO stock rotation. You will label items with correct product information and expiry dates, and ensure products meet quality and packaging standards before dispatch.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to food safety, GMP/HACCP guidelines, and maintaining a clean packing area. Proactive communication of any quality issues is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM/Form 5 qualification.
• Able to read, write and communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and simple English.
• Experience in food packaging or a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Food Handler Certificate and Typhoid Vaccination are preferred (or willing to obtain after joining).

• Inspect, sort, and pack baked and unbaked pastries according to company standards.
• Label products accurately with the correct product information and expiry dates.

2. Quality Control

• Check products for quality, appearance, and packaging before dispatch.
• Remove any damaged or non-conforming products.

3. Order Preparation & Storage

• Pack products into cartons and prepare them for storage or delivery.
• Arrange products using the First In, First Out (FIFO) stock rotation method.

4. Food Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and GMP/HACCP requirements at all times.
• Keep the work area, equipment, and packing station clean and organized.

Requirements:

Minimum SPM/Form 5 qualification. Able to speak, read, and write in Bahasa Malaysia and simple English.

Physical & Working Requirements

Able to stand for long hours and lift items weighing 5–20 kg when required.

Comfortable working in warm or cold environments, flexible to work 6 days a week, shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime during peak production periods.
