Job summary

Prestar Storage System Sdn Bhd, based in Selangor, invites a Production Manager/Assistant Manager to oversee multiple production lines and drive efficiency in a manufacturing environment. You will apply Lean and Kaizen principles, lead a team, train staff, and coordinate with Mandarin-speaking clients where required.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field, strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, and the flexibility to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• Knowledge of Lean and Kaizen principles is required.
• Having working experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Required languages: BM/ English/ Mandarin.
• We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking client.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to guide and train others.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to multitask.
• Able to work independently, able to work in a team and follow instructions effectively.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply (for a junior role)

Responsibilities

• To oversee overall production management (BS + Zone J + Paint Line + Packing).
• To oversee operation management for above production line, which is responsible to achieve productivity and efficiency and monitoring on consumable and upkeep cost.
• To implement proper 5S and housekeeping for safe working environment.
• To manage man power for adequate flow of operation.
• To implement automation production where applicable for operator optimization.
• To highlight any irregularities, problems or weaknesses and to recommend actions for product improvements of any area of your function above.
