Job summary

A leading medical device manufacturer in Penang is seeking a Production Manager to oversee production activities, manage personnel, and ensure high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Engineering and at least 8 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills and knowledge of ISO 13485 are advantageous for this role.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Oversee production activities, organize production personnel and machinery, and guarantee the quality and profitability of the products.
• Identify the optimal and most effective utilization of available resources, including equipment and workforce, to achieve the production build timeline and goals.
• Hires and trains the production workforce. Oversee and motivate the staff, monitoring them to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
• Analyze any production problems and ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely delivery of products.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to develop innovative and cost-efficient strategies aimed at enhancing quality, productivity, and minimizing waste by refining current processes, offering supplementary training, or introducing improved manufacturing methods.
• Address customer complaints, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), while implementing corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.

Requirements

• At least a Degree in Engineering or relevant scientific discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge in ISO 13485 and 21CFR820 would be an added advantage.
