Job summary

Prestar Resources Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance role to monitor machine downtime, carry out preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical components in a manufacturing setting. The role requires basic machine operating experience and willingness to work shifts.

Candidates should have a secondary education (SPM or equivalent), reliable transport, and a strong sense of responsibility. OT, incentives, and training are provided as part of the employment package.

Qualifications

• Minimum Secondary School / SPM or equivalent.
• Experience in basic machine operating and general work in metal industry / heavy industry will be an added advantage.
• Must have own transport / vehicle with a valid driving license.
• Willing to work on shifts (including night shifts if applicable) and perform OT when required.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/factory environment setting.
• Possess good attendance record, high integrity.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and good discipline.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machine downtime and reduce unscheduled downtime.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot mechanical parts breakdowns (pneumatic, hydraulic, gearbox, pump, bearing, chain, belt, etc).
• Highlight breakdown irregularities, problems, weaknesses, and recommendations for improvement.
• Comply with safety instructions and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Use safety and health equipment and follow supervisor instructions.

Job description

• To carry out preventive maintenance to reduce unnecessary breakdowns.
• Troubleshooting on mechanical parts breakdown such pneumatic control system, hydraulic control system, gearbox, pump, bearing, chain, belt and others.
• To highlight any breakdown irregularities, problems, weaknesses, and recommendations for improvement and any related issues.
• To comply with all safety instructions, rules and regulations that enforced by the Company.
• To report all accidents and unsafe conditions to the supervisor or superior.
• To use all safety and health equipment provided.
• To follow instruction from superior or appointed assignee when necessary.
