Job summary

Gateway Search is partnering with a large-scale manufacturing organization to recruit a Production Supervisor (Manufacturing) based in Selangor. This role will oversee daily production operations, lead a dynamic team, and emphasize safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in any field, or equivalent production management experience.
• Minimum 6 years of production management experience in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
• Experience in high-tech sectors (electronics, energy, automotive, semiconductor) is a plus.
• Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S, or shopfloor efficiency projects preferred.
• Bilingual - Malay & Chinese preferred for local communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet quality and quantity targets.
• Oversee daily shopfloor operations including production progress, manpower scheduling, work discipline, and 5S.
• Lead workplace safety control and efficiency improvement initiatives.
• Optimize and continuously improve internal processes, systems, and working standards.
• Lead root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote and follow up on improvement actions to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
• Organise daily team communication, training, and coaching to build skills and problem-solving capabilities.
• Foster a positive team culture and support individual team member development.
• Complete other tasks assigned by management.
