Job summary

Lactus Paper Industries Sdn Bhd in Johor state is seeking a production supervisor to oversee daily operations at the Senai production site. The role includes machinery maintenance planning, quality control, attendance monitoring, waste reduction, and stock checks to ensure customer requirements are met.

The position also focuses on 5S housekeeping, safety, training, and compliance with QESH policies, with emphasis on efficiency and continuous improvement in production processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily machinery maintenance and plan preventive maintenance.
• Monitor daily quality control and non-conforming products.
• Monitor production workers attendance and discipline.
• Control production rejects and wastage.
• Perform monthly stock take.
• Implement and maintain 5S housekeeping in the production area.
• Responsible for daily production planning.
• Ensure production safety and environmental compliance.
• Ensure products are manufactured and delivered according to customer requirements.
• Monitor machine capabilities, efficiency and associated costs.
• Train production workers on work instructions and new quality, environment, and safety requirements.
• Identify quality issues and take corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Manage WIP stock days to keep within planned limits before production planning.
• Follow up on production improvement programs.
• Ensure workers perform according to work instructions efficiently.

1. 1. Responsible for daily machinery maintenance and plan preventive maintenance
2. 2. Monitor daily quality control and non-conforming products
3. 3. Monitor production workers attendance and discipline
4. 4. Control production reject and wastage
5. 5. Perform monthly stock take
6. 6. Implement and maintain housekeeping (5S) at production area
7. 8. Responsible for daily production planning
8. 9. Responsible on production safety and environment
9. 10. Ensure the products are manufactured and delivered according to customer’s requirements
10. 11. Monitor the capabilities of all production machines, efficiency and cost
11. 12. Train production workers based on work instruction and new requirements for quality, environment and safety
12. 13. Identify quality issue and take action on it to prevent recurrence
13. 14. Ensure WIP stock holding days is within control before planning for production
14. 15. Follow up production improvement program
15. 16. Ensure production workers perform according to work instruction and efficiently
16. 17. Conduct Emergency Preparedness and Response and evacuation activity
17. 18. Review and update Risk Assessment, Aspects & Impacts and HIRADC by yearly basis
18. 19. Responsible for QESH Objectives & Targets and programs
19. 20. Identify production staff / workers competency
20. 21. Provide training and awareness for quality, environment and safety
21. 22. Involve in internal and external communication
22. 23. Responsible for production nonconformity, corrective and/or preventive action and near miss catch
23. 24. Ensure follow the legal and other requirement
24. 25. Ensure workers follow the chemical handling procedure
25. 26. Monitor the handling of IETS operation and schedule waste storage
26. 27. Monitor the process of recycling of IETS discharge water and reuse of the water
27. 28. Responsible for related QESH activities
