Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Production Engineer to drive improvements in server assembly and manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate across R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to implement efficient designs, validate processes, and lead pilot productions for new server models.

The role emphasizes Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, data-driven decision making, and strong teamwork in a shift-based manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
Certifications and substantial experience may be considered.
3–5 years of experience in production engineering or manufacturing process support.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and standardize server assembly and production processes to enhance throughput, reduce defects and costs.
Support daily production operations by troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions.
Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to introduce new products and process changes.
Lead process validation, equipment qualification, and pilot production for new server models.
Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S to improve efficiency and safety.
Maintain and update production documentation including work instructions and process flow charts.
Monitor production metrics and generate reports to identify improvements.
Provide training to operators and line leaders to foster continuous learning.
