Job summary

Malayan Flour Mills Berhad (MFM) is seeking a Production Assistant to operate the extrusion line and milling operations following the production plan and approved formulations. You will ensure quality production in compliance with QC/QAQC specifications and maintain accurate reports.

Join a team focused on reducing downtime, maintaining safe facilities, and supporting maintenance, calibration and stock control to keep production efficient and compliant with GMP standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate extruding line according to production plan and approved formulation to meet daily target
• Execute processes of operation for quality production in compliance with QC department specifications
• Record necessary information in relevant reports in an accurate and proper manner
• Report any deviations throughout the process to relevant personnel
• Carry out monthly and annual stock takes
• Keep manufacturing facilities in good working conditions and prevent downtime
• Support preparation and requisition of equipment and spare parts
• Perform routine maintenance works as per work order and schedule using appropriate equipment
• Assist with equipment calibration according to schedule
• Adjust machines to cater for different types of feed and prevent disruption to production process
• Review and monitor operating processes to find continuous improvements in procedures, methods, effectiveness and resource utilisation
• Adhere to HACCP, Machinery Department, GMP standards and requirements
• Reduce shrinkage of feed in production
• Implement productivity improvement activities, preventive and corrective actions, and reduce process rejects
• Reduce percentage of rejected feed from extrusion going to mixed feed for each shift
• Carry out cleaning works of required areas as per schedule on a timely basis
• Manage processes of milling operation to produce quality products in compliance with QAQC department specifications
