Job summary

Malayan Flour Mills Berhad (MFM) invites you to join our safety team at the plant, supporting SHO and Safety Supervisor in enforcing DOSH-based policies to prevent LTIs and asset damage.

You'll assist in analyzing injuries, reporting incidents, and recommending corrective measures, while conducting follow-up sessions and monitoring compliance with safety practices across departments. Regular plant inspections and staff trainings are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist SHO and Safety Supervisor in explaining, applying, and enforcing DOSH-based requirements at the plant.
• Assist in analyzing and reporting injuries and accidents, and recommend corrective measures.
• Conduct follow-up sessions on safety matters cascaded and monitor compliance.
• Work with departments to develop safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure equipment adheres to safety requirements and implement accident control measures.
• Regularly inspect plant facilities to ensure government safety compliance.
• Train internal staff and new recruits on safety and health requirements.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

To assist SHO and Safety Supervisor in explaining, applying, and enforcing policies based on DOSH requirements at the plant to prevent Lost of Time Injuries (LTI) and any other asset damage. To assist SHO and Safety Supervisor in analyzing and reporting overall injuries and accidents at the plant and recommending corrective measures to minimize or overcome these accidents.

Perform follow-up sessions on safety matters cascaded and regularly monitor compliance of safety practices at the plant

Work with relevant parties in developing safety and health policies and procedures throughout all departments

Ensure that all equipment adheres to safety requirements and other tools necessary for effective implementation of accident control

Regularly inspect plant facilities to ensure compliance with government safety regulations

Ensure relevant parties understand and regularly practice safety and health procedures at the workplace

Obtain regular updates on DOSH requirements and assist in training internal staff and new recruits on safety and health requirements as part of orientation

Perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by management from time to time
