Job summary

Carmelitaco Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Production and Packaging Assistant to support garment production, packing, and inventory tasks. You will assist with preparation, assembly, quality checking and ensure accurate labelling and packaging for shipments.

The role involves maintaining a clean and organized work environment, coordinating with the Production and Boutique teams, and helping with receiving, labeling, and logistics to ensure smooth operations. Experience in fashion/retail is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in production, packaging or inventory is preferred.
• Fashion/retail industry experience is advantageous.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to stand, lift and move items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist garment production processes including preparation, assembly and quality inspection.
• Inspect garments for defects and report issues to the Production Manager.
• Package finished products with accurate labelling for inventory and sales.
• Assist with stock labeling, organization and tracking to maintain inventory levels.
• Prepare shipping documents and coordinate with teams on shipping costs and schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production and packaging area.
• Collaborate with boutique and production teams and support additional duties as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with Garment Production Processes
• Support the Production Team in the preparation, assembly, and quality inspection of apparel products;
• Conduct basic garment finishing tasks, such as ironing, folding, and minor adjustments to meet quality standards.

2. Quality Control and Defect Reporting

• Inspect garments for any defects or inconsistencies and promptly report issues to the Production Manager;
• Ensure that each product meets the boutiques quality and brand presentation standards.

3. Efficient Packaging and Labelling

• Package finished products with care, ensuring accurate labelling for inventory and sales;
• Prepare packaging materials and accessories, maintaining consistency with the boutiques brand aesthetics.

4. Inventory and Stock Management

• Assist with labelling, organizing, and tracking inventory to ensure accurate stock levels;
• Support stock receiving and organization, keeping accurate records of received items.

5. Shipping Documentation and Logistics Support

• Print and organize airway bills, packing slips, and other required shipping documents;
• Monitor shipping supplies and coordinate shipping costs and schedules with the relevant teams.

6. Maintain Clean and Organized Work Environment

• Ensure the production and packaging area is kept tidy, safe, and compliant with safety protocols;
• Regularly clean equipment and workspaces to maintain a high standard of hygiene.

7. Collaborate with Boutique Team and Support Additional Duties

• Work closely with the Fashion and Production teams, providing support as needed to maintain seamless operations;
• Take on additional responsibilities to assist with boutique needs and enhance team efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: Prior experience in a production, packaging, or inventory role is preferred. Experience in the fashion or retail industry is an advantage.
• Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work independently, good organization, and familiarity with packaging machinery is beneficial.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, lift, and move items as needed to perform packaging and inventory tasks.
