Job summary

DKSH is seeking a Product Specialist in Malaysia to drive sales growth and manage key pharmacy accounts across the Johor Bahru territory. You will execute promotional plans, deliver demonstrations, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of products.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, plus 1–2 years' sales experience in healthcare or related sectors, are essential. Travel within the territory is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in any discipline (science, business or related field preferred).
• Minimum 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably in healthcare, pharmacy, FMCG or OTC channel.
• Basic understanding of pharmacy operations, market trends, and competitor landscape.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-driven, disciplined, and results-oriented with good territory planning skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Willing to travel and cover multiple areas within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and manage key pharmacy accounts within the assigned territory.
• Support input to medical sales plans and implement action plans to achieve targets.
• Track progress against KPIs and sales plans; prioritize daily activities.
• Call/visit existing and prospective customers to solicit orders and provide demonstrations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and highlight saleable features and benefits.
• Prepare quotation/tender prices and delivery terms per company policies.
• Record sales data and maintain customer data in CRM databases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a log of customer complaints/issues and follow up accordingly.
• Respond to orders and queries; inform customers of promotions and new/upgraded products.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery or installation of products.

About The Role

The Product Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth and managing key pharmacy accounts within the assigned territory. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, strengthening customer relationships, executing promotional initiatives, and ensuring excellent in-market execution.

What You Will Deliver

Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources.

• Provide input to medical sales plans based on experience. Implement action plans to achieve sales targets for assigned businesses/territories.
• Track self/team progress against key performance indicators and sales plans. Prioritize and review daily sales activities performed.
• Call/visit existing and prospective customers to solicit orders, gain demonstrations and quotation opportunities.
• Conduct product demonstrations and emphasize saleable features/customer benefits.
• Prepare quotation/tender prices, delivery and commercial terms in accordance with company policies.
• Report on the activities and products of the competitors.
• Record sales data for reporting and tracking purposes. Maintain relevant customer data in appropriate customer relationship management databases.
• Execute continuous improvement activities to enhance sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc. to improve sales targets.
• Maintain a customer complaints/issues log and follow up on customer issues.
• Respond to customer orders and queries. Inform current and prospective customers of promotions and new/upgraded products.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery or installation of products/systems.
• Support internal stakeholders in relationship development with key customers.
