Job summary

VAT Vakuumventile AG in Malaysia seeks a highly motivated Quality Engineer to advance our quality management and problem solving, working with cross-functional teams on product quality plans and addressing customer complaints.

The role focuses on quality processes for high‑tech components, First Article Inspection, CAPA, CE/CEX compliance, and continuous improvement. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering is required with a global outlook.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical/electrical/engineering related field is required.
• Additional degree in quality engineering is advantageous.
• Profound experience of quality processes for high-tech components in a global market.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Quality in innovation, customize and relocation projects, initiating the required quality measures.
• Product Quality Planning and management.
• Product and component parts approval (First Lot Approval and Product Approval).
• Initialize and approve Initial Sample Inspection.
• Coordination and processing of First Article Inspection.
• Coordination and processing of customer claims (8D reports and Non-conformance report).
• Deviation approval and management.
• Ensuring the CE/ CEX requirements.
• Supporting change requests and approval processes (quality perspective).
• Supporting in Design and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis.

In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional team to support job role needs such as managing product quality plan and customer complains. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following behavioural skills :

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
