Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Product Owner to drive the development and enhancement of internal systems and digital solutions that support business operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role in Agile/Scrum
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum/Kanban)
• Proven experience writing user stories, managing backlogs, and working with development teams
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders, users, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria

The Product Owner is responsible for driving the development and enhancement of internal systems and digital solutions that support business operations. This role acts as the key bridge between business users and the MIS team to ensure system requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Define and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is visible, transparent, and prioritized based on business and customer value.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, users, and cross-functional teams to gather and translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Serve as the voice of the customer in development planning, sprint planning, and reviews.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to deliver intuitive and user-friendly experiences.
• Make trade-off decisions between scope, budget, and time based on business priorities.
• Monitor product performance and iterate based on data, user feedback, and market trends.
• Ensure that delivered features meet business objectives and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure product quality, performance and reliability.
• Document product features, processes, user manuals and testing procedures.
• Communicate product vision, roadmap, and status to stakeholders regularly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or related role in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Preferably candidate enjoy on startup style environment and willing to take on diverse tasks.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Proven experience writing user stories, managing backlogs, and working with development teams.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with tools such as Trello, or similar.
