Quectel is seeking a seasoned Product/Project Manager to drive SOM/SoC product initiatives in Malaysia. You will collaborate with local sales, HQ RD, and distributors to shape proposals and win new customers for smart IoT modules and solutions.

The role requires 5–7 years in software or hardware development, 5+ years in project or product management, and strong English. Mandarin is a plus; frequent travel across Southeast Asia and ANZ is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in related fields.
• 5-7 years of software or hardware development experience.
• 5+ years of project or product management experience.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Product overall lifetime management including evaluation, initialization, NPI, MP, EOL management, and prepare training for local sales, distributors and customers accordingly.
• Keep up-to-date insights of the market, customers and competitors, collect and define requirements for new products according to the insights to make sure our smart loT products fit the market and customer requirements.
• Explore the requirements and trends of leading customers in the mainstream market.
• Correctly judge the market trend and conduct detailed analysis of competition in real time.
• Analyze performance and cost competitiveness of our products, provide inputs for internal product strategies/roadmaps planning.
• Support sales managers regarding major customers or key projects, and cooperate with eco system partners and build partner relationships.

About the role

Work with local sales team and distributor to promote smart SoC products/solutions to more customers, and secure good sales increase of the products. Work with HQ RD and other supporting team to evaluate customer's project requirements, and provide proposals to customers together with sales team, in order to design win new products.

Key responsibilities

About you

• Bachelor's or master's degree in communication, electronics, computer or other related majors
• 5-7 years Software or hardware development experience, more than 5 years project or product management experience
• Fluent in English, Mandarin is a plus
• Familiar with SOCs (Qualcomm SOC, MTK SOC, NXP SOC, Nvidia SOC, Rockchip SoC, TI SOC, Broadcom SOC etc.)
• Relevant experience in SoC based mobile phones, tablet computers, SBCs, and various cellular communication IOT devices
• Familiar with Android OS or Linux OS or Ubuntu OS etc.
• Adapt to frequent business trips which travel to Southeast Asia and ANZ countries
