Job summary

Lumileds International, a global LED leader, seeks a Product Engineer (1 year contract) in Malaysia's Penang region. You will lead the industrialization of new products from development to high-volume manufacturing, ensuring manufacturability, quality, cost and productivity targets while partnering with R&D and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Degree or its equivalent from a recognized higher learning institution.
0-3 years of working experience in the manufacturing environment, especially in project management.

Responsibilities

Lead and support industrialization aspects of product and technology introduction to high-volume manufacturing.
Contribute to product development planning and roadmap by identifying appropriate phosphor, materials and integration technology.
Identify risks and validate product specifications against capability.
Steer programs from R&D through to successful release to manufacturing with robust process controls.
Coordinate multiple projects and builds, updating progress to management.
Ensure compliance with environment, health, safety and security requirements.
