Job summary

TF-AMD Penang is seeking an experienced engineering professional to manage sustaining activities, drive product performance improvements, and lead the introduction and ramp of new products. You will collaborate with manufacturing, design, quality and failure analysis teams to resolve excursions and prepare for volume manufacturing.

The role requires a strong background in product definition, yield analysis, wafer processes and semiconductor testing, along with project management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or above.
• 8+ years of industrial experience in equipment development or maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of product definition, yield analysis, wafer process and semiconductor domains, ATE/SLT testing, and project management.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including test & product development, manufacturing, product planning, quality and failure analysis.
• Independent, resourceful and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Manage sustaining activities to improve yield, test time, quality and costs.
• Lead the introduction of new products (NPI) and ramp to volume manufacturing.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Design, Quality, and Failure Analysis to disposition excursions and drive MRB.
• Oversee NPI engineering activities including test flow, EVT/DVT, buyoff units, and test program readiness before ramp.
• Drive margin improvement by addressing ramp-to-yield entitlement with operations and development teams.
• Provide technical/administrative/operational leadership within program guidelines set by the program manager and customer.
• Define, generate and review project requirements documentation.
• Coordinate between resource managers and ensure necessary reviews/approvals.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Job description

• Management of product sustaining activities which include driving product performance improvement (yield, test time, quality, etc.) and cost reduction
• Manage the introduction of new products (NPI) and their ramp to volume manufacturing.
• Work with the Manufacturing, Design, Quality, and Failure Analysis teams in the disposition of product excursions and manage cases through a material review board.
• Manage the engineering activities during new product introduction including product test flow, EVT and DVT engineering activities, generation of buyoff units, and test program readiness before ramping to volume manufacturing.
• Manage product ramp to yield entitlement. Drive all margin issues with operations and development teams.
• Responsible for technical/administrative/operational leadership of a project/mission within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer.
• Defines, generates and reviews project requirement documentation.
• Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.

Job Qualification:

• At least 8 years and above of industrial experience in equipment development or equipment maintenance experience.
