Job summary

Maxis in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a product development specialist to drive the product lifecycle from initial requirements to launch, ensuring the customer journey is clearly defined and supported by robust processes.

You will work with Products, ISD, Network, and Operations to shape roadmaps, test readiness, and deliver solutions that create commercial impact while adapting to regulatory and market changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years in product development, product management, operations or similar roles in telecom/tech.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver commercial success by driving product development from requirements to launch.
• Lead the creation of detailed product specifications, user stories, and use cases.

The product development specialist will be responsible to drive product development process in the product lifecycle from initial requirements to successful product launch, ensuring the customer journey is clearly defined and the supporting systems and processes are in place, tested and ready for rollout.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver commercial success .
• Lead the creation of detailed product specifications, user stories, and use cases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Products, ISD, Network, Business Enablement, Enterprise Customer Service and Operations, other stakeholders to define product requirements and ensure successful product delivery.
• Support the development of product roadmaps and manage prioritization based on business value and customer feedback.
• Participate in product testing and quality assurance activities to ensure product readiness for launch.
• Monitor product performance metrics, gather customer feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare and present product-related reports and updates to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to telecommunications sector.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product development, product management, operations or a similar role, preferably within the telecommunications or technology industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
• Proficient in project management tools and methodologies (e.g. PMP, Agile, Scrum).
• A solid understanding of telco solutions and technologies, services, and market dynamics.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
