Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks a Product Development Executive to support development, sourcing and commercialisation of consumer products in Malaysia. You will work with OEM/ODM manufacturers and regulatory bodies to ensure products are properly licensed and market-ready.

The role requires hands-on experience with licenses, registrations, certifications and regulatory approvals, plus collaboration with management, manufacturers and suppliers to meet development milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Product Development, Science, Biotechnology, Food Science, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, Business or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience dealing with OEM/ODM manufacturers.
• Knowledge of licences, registrations, certifications and regulatory approvals.
• Familiarity with product development, sourcing, manufacturing coordination and commercialisation processes.
• Experience with university research departments, researchers or research institutions.
• Experience with IP ownership, patents or licensing agreements.
• Existing relationships with OEM/ODM manufacturers, laboratories, regulatory consultants or certification bodies.
• Experience in consumer products, health and wellness, nutraceuticals, food products or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and coordinate product development opportunities with OEM/ODM manufacturers.
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers on product specifications, formulation, packaging, production requirements and development timelines.
• Evaluate manufacturer capabilities, product quality, costs and suitability for commercialisation.
• Coordinate product samples, testing, documentation and product development milestones.
• Work closely with management to support product selection, sourcing and commercialisation plans.
• Identify licences, registrations, certifications and regulatory approvals required for product commercialisation in relevant markets.
• Prepare, coordinate and follow up on licence and registration applications with authorities and certification bodies.
• Liaise with manufacturers, laboratories and regulatory consultants to obtain necessary technical documents.
• Monitor application status, approval requirements, renewals and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain records of product specifications, licences, certifications and regulatory documentation.
