Job summary

Pharm-D Health Science in Malaysia is seeking a Product Development professional to support new product development, sourcing, prototype work, and ingredient selection. You will monitor nutraceutical trends and help translate market insights into viable product concepts.

The role requires 2–3 years in product development or related fields, with a degree in a relevant science. You will collaborate with Supply Chain and other teams to ensure timely launches and maintain product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Science, Dietetics or related field.
• 2–3 years' experience in product development, R&D, nutraceuticals or health supplements preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of ingredients, formulation, and market trends is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the new product development process, including sourcing, prototype development, cost evaluation and ingredient selection.
• Monitor market trends, products, and industry developments in nutraceuticals and medical nutrition.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new product opportunities and consumer trends.
• Assist in identifying and resolving product quality and technical issues.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain team on first production planning and material replacement activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of development projects and launches.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the new product development process, including sourcing, prototype development, cost evaluation, and ingredient selection.




• Keep abreast of market trends, products, and industry developments, particularly in nutraceutical areas such as medical nutrition, health supplements, traditional medicine, and FDI products.




• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new product opportunities and consumer trends.




• Assist in identifying and resolving product quality and technical issues.




• Coordinate with the Supply Chain team and relevant PICs on first production planning, troubleshooting of production-related technical issues, and raw material or packaging material replacement activities.




• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely execution of product development projects and successful product launches.




• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Science, Nutrition, Dietetics or a related field.




• Preferably 2-3 years of experience in product development, R&D, nutraceuticals, health supplements, pharmaceutical, or related industries.




• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and a strong interest in product development are encouraged to apply.




• Good understanding of ingredients, product formulation, and market trends will be an added advantage.




• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
