Pharm-D Health Science Berhad in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a proactive Product Development specialist to join our nutraceuticals team. You will assist in new product development, sourcing, prototype development, cost evaluation and ingredient selection while staying abreast of market trends and industry developments.

• 2-3 years of experience in product development, R&D, nutraceuticals, health supplements, pharmaceutical or related industries.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of ingredients, product formulation and market trends.
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in new product development: sourcing, prototypes, cost eval, ingredient selection.
• Track market trends in nutraceuticals, health supplements, and traditional medicine.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities and consumer trends.
• Assist in resolving product quality and technical issues.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on production planning and material replacements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely launches.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

Assist in the new product development process, including sourcing, prototype development, cost evaluation, and ingredient selection.

Keep abreast of market trends, products, and industry developments, particularly in nutraceutical areas such as medical nutrition, health supplements, traditional medicine, and FDI products.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify new product opportunities and consumer trends.

Assist in identifying and resolving product quality and technical issues.

Coordinate with the Supply Chain team and relevant PICs on first production planning, troubleshooting of production-related technical issues, and raw material or packaging material replacement activities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely execution of product development projects and successful product launches.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior from time to time.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Science, Nutrition, Dietetics or a related field.

Preferably 2-3 years of experience in product development, R&D, nutraceuticals, health supplements, pharmaceutical, or related industries.

Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and a strong interest in product development are encouraged to apply.

Good understanding of ingredients, product formulation, and market trends will be an added advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
