Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, logistics, business administration or engineering.
• 3–5 years procurement experience in manufacturing for senior role; 7+ years for manager level.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
• ERP proficiency in SAP and Oracle, with advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Strategic sourcing for raw materials, components, machinery and MRO supplies.
• Vendor management: evaluate, negotiate terms, and manage delivery schedules.
• Cost and inventory control; monitor market trends and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Systems management using ERP (SAP, Oracle, SQL) to manage POs and supplier performance.
• Logistics and compliance: oversee import/export procedures and freight via Port Klang.

• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials, components, machinery, and MRO supplies.

• Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with global and local suppliers for pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

• Cost & Inventory Control: Monitor commodity market trends, drive cost-saving initiatives, and align stock levels with material requirement planning (MRP).

• Systems Management: Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SQL) to manage purchase orders and track supplier delivery performance.

• Logistics & Compliance: Oversee customs documentation, import/export procedures, and freight forwarding through Port Klang logistics routes.

Skills and experiences

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering.

• Experience:

  • Senior Executive level: 3–5 years of procurement experience in manufacturing.

  • Manager level: 7+ years of experience, including leadership in manufacturing procurement.

• Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills. Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
