Job summary

Sunway Big Box Sdn Bhd is seeking a procurement professional to manage end-to-end activities, source suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate terms. You will issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain supplier records to support cost control and on-time project execution.

The role requires 1+ year of procurement experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience is a plus. Travel within Sunway sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of procurement experience.
• Good knowledge of procurement processes and purchasing best practices.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and internal approval procedures.
• Prepare monthly procurement reports.
• Support and continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
• Manage other ad hoc assignments as required.
