About Us

Global Equipment & Tooling Procurement works as part of the cross functional team that initiate/develop and drive supplier strategy/performance for the purchase of manufacturing equipment & tooling. The team's effort to reduce bottom line/managing supplier relationship and ensuring timely delivery of tools in a sustainable fashion ensures our factories' have sufficient capacity to meet all Dyson's manufacturing needs.

About The Role

• Drive the definition of strategic and tactical approaches within area, drives execution within assigned category.
• Formulate negotiation strategies with related vendors and suppliers to secure best pricing for selected equipment and services.
• Analyse the full cost structure of each piece of equipment, including direct, indirect, and hidden costs
• Develop cost models for equipment categories and provide insights to assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Initiate and drive cross-functional and process improvements and cost management activities consistent with company objectives.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external networks involving coordination among various groups & stakeholders.
• Partner with functional and/or cross functional leadership to influence priorities and objectives to ensure supply reliability, best total cost, on time delivery, minimum risk and best quality.
• Utilise leadership and negotiation skills to influence outcomes with internal stakeholders and/or external customers and suppliers.
• Leads complex, strategic and business critical projects or initiatives.
  
  
  

About you

• Minimum 5 yrs engineering experience; ideally with 2 years of experience in cost related coverage or 3 years of experience in equipment procurement role (CAPEX/ OPEX). SAP/ Ariba knowledge is a plus.
• This role performs activities related to the sourcing of Capital Equipment and services, in support of Dyson manufacturing plan. (CAPEX)
• The ideal candidate will thrive working autonomously while demonstrating a meticulous approach to cost breakdowns and supplier negotiations to drive bottom-line reduction.
• You will play a pivotal role in ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions that support our operational and financial goals.
• Coordinate sourcing projects, ensure completion to meet project/business needs
• Review purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company requirements.
• Approve purchases of authorised amounts or size.
• Maintain and update purchasing orders, systems, and documentation. Monitor the cost, schedule and performance metrics of contracts and subcontracts.
