Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd invites a proactive Procurement Intern to support materials planning, purchasing, and supplier coordination for production and prototype builds in Penang, Malaysia. You will assist with MRP, PO management, delivery tracking, and inventory optimization while collaborating with Buyers, Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, and Accounts Payable.

The role emphasizes learning SAP-driven procurement processes, cost improvements, and KPI tracking in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel; advanced Excel tools a plus.
• Detail‑oriented with strong numerical sense and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work in teams; multilingual is a plus.
• Highly motivated with a creative, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Support materials planning and purchasing to ensure materials meet production requirements.
• Assist with MRP by monitoring material needs, inventory levels, and incoming supplies.
• Support PO management including order placement, delivery tracking, and accurate purchasing information.
• Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules and order updates.
• Monitor supplier performance and assist with follow-up actions for issues.
• Identify excess, obsolete, high-stock, or non-conforming materials and assist actions.
• Assist with cost and process improvement activities including freight costs and inventory optimization.
• Collaborate with Buyers, Commodity Managers, Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, and Accounts Payable.
• Learn and apply procurement and supply chain processes, policies, and KPIs.
