We are looking for a Procurement Intelligence & Analytics Specialist to join our team at Malakoff Corporation Berhad. This role will be responsible for developing procurement intelligence, analysing spend and supplier data, and translating insights into actionable strategies that support cost optimisation, supplier performance and informed procurement decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse procurement spend, supplier, category and purchasing data to identify trends, opportunities, risks and potential cost savings.


• Develop and maintain procurement dashboards, reports and management insights using tools such as Power BI, Excel and other analytics platforms.


• Conduct spend analysis and support category strategies through data driven insights.


• Monitor supplier performance, procurement KPIs, purchasing trends and category movements.


• Conduct market and supplier intelligence analysis, including pricing trends, market developments, supply risks and benchmarking.


• Develop procurement analytics and intelligence reports for management decision making.


• Identify opportunities for procurement process improvement, cost optimisation and value creation through data analysis.


• Support the development and monitoring of procurement performance metrics and dashboards.


• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Operations, IT and other business stakeholders to gather, validate and interpret data.


• Translate complex procurement data into clear and practical recommendations for management.


• Support digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives within the Procurement function.


• Ensure accuracy, integrity and consistency of procurement data and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or a related discipline.


• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement analytics, spend analytics, supply chain analytics, business intelligence or a related field.


• Strong experience in procurement data analysis and reporting.


• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, PivotTables, Power Query and data analysis.


• Strong working knowledge of Power BI, including dashboard development, data modelling and visualisation.


• Experience working with ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba or similar platforms will be an advantage.


• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.


• Good understanding of procurement processes, spend categories, supplier management and sourcing activities.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Detail oriented, commercially aware and comfortable working with large datasets.


• Experience in procurement digitalisation, automation or data transformation initiatives will be an added advantage.
