Job summary

LK Durian Sdn. Bhd. in Raub, Pahang, is seeking a driven Procurement & Farm Assets Manager to own procurement and farm asset management across a 2,700-acre durian estate.

You will lead demand planning, supplier negotiations and asset maintenance, driving cost reductions and ensuring continuity of inputs and equipment. Reporting to the CFO and COO, you will coordinate with Farm Operations and Agronomy, manage asset registers, CAPEX, and service providers while staying hands-on on-site at the Raub

Qualifications

• 5–10 years' experience in procurement, purchasing or asset management.
• Experience in agriculture or asset-intensive environments is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Excellent cost-conscious and data-driven mindset.
• Willingness to be based on-site at Raub farm.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement of diesel, fertiliser, chemicals, machinery, tools, irrigation hardware, spare parts and other farm requirements.
• Plan and consolidate demand to optimise purchasing volumes and timing.
• Source, benchmark and negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts and supply arrangements.
• Build and manage supplier relationships while identifying better-value alternatives.
• Drive procurement and OPEX savings without compromising quality or supply reliability.
• Manage farm vehicles, tractors, machinery, generators, pumps and other operational assets.
• Maintain asset registers and preventive maintenance schedules; monitor costs, utilisation and downtime.
• Manage workshops, service centres and asset-related service providers.
• Work with CFO and COO on procurement strategy, budgets, CAPEX and major asset decisions.
• Ensure the farm has inputs at the right price, at the right time and the right equipment available when needed.

Job description

LK Durian is looking for a driven, commercially minded Procurement & Farm Assets Manager to take ownership of procurement and farm asset management across our 2,700-acre durian estate in Raub, Pahang. This is a hands‑on role with a clear mandate: reduce procurement and asset costs, ensure critical supplies are always available, and keep our equipment running.

You will report to the CFO, work closely with the COO, and coordinate daily with Farm Operations and Agronomy. The role comes with a meaningful annual performance bonus, linked directly to measurable results including procurement savings, asset cost savings, supply availability and equipment downtime.

Key responsibilities

Lead procurement of diesel, fertiliser, compost, chemicals, machinery, tools, irrigation hardware, spare parts and other farm requirements.

Plan and consolidate demand across Farm Operations and Agronomy to optimise purchasing volumes and timing.

Source, benchmark and negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts and supply arrangements.

Build and manage supplier relationships while continuously identifying better‑value alternatives.

Drive measurable procurement and OPEX savings without compromising quality or supply reliability.

Manage farm vehicles, tractors, machinery, generators, pumps and other operational assets.

Maintain asset registers and preventive maintenance schedules; monitor maintenance costs, utilisation and downtime.

Manage workshops, mechanics, service centres and other asset‑related service providers.

Work with the CFO and COO on procurement strategy, budgets, CAPEX and major asset decisions.

Ensure the farm has the right inputs, at the right price, at the right time — and the right equipment available when needed.

About you

5–10 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, asset management or a related field.

Experience in agriculture, plantations, manufacturing, construction, logistics or another asset‑intensive environment is highly advantageous.

Strong negotiator with excellent supplier‑management skills.

Highly cost‑conscious, commercially minded and comfortable working with numbers.

Comfortable managing machinery, vehicles, maintenance and service providers.

Proactive, hands‑on and highly organised, with the ability to work independently and across multiple teams.

Strong Excel/data‑analysis skills; ERP or procurement‑system experience is an advantage.

Willing to be based in and regularly work on‑site at our beautiful farm in Raub, Pahang.
