We are an Established Pioneering Durian Cultivation Company involved in the integrated cultivation and retailing operations. We are looking for a capable and results-driven candidate to join our management team as a SENIOR AGRONOMIST.
This position and portfolio is responsible for overseeing and driving agronomic planning, execution, and continuous improvement across our Durian Plantation. This role involves leading field trials, developing and implementing comprehensive agrochemical and fertilizer programs, and ensuring optimal crop performance through effective monitoring of soil health, irrigation systems, and pest and disease conditions. The incumbent will play a key role in translating research findings into practical field applications, while providing technical and agronomy leadership, guidance, and training to the agronomist team and operation plantation teams.

Key Responsibilities:-
Provide overall agronomy leadership through the various stages of a durian tree phenological stages/phases, which encompasses post-harvest recuperation, vegetative, flower induction, flowering, pollination, and fruit development.
Lead, manage, and execute field trials, including tree growth monitoring, agronomy treatment implementation, and evaluation of outcomes.
Develop and oversee end-to-end agrochemical and fertilizer programs, including annual planning, scheduling, and budget control.
Monitor and analyse crop performance, soil health, irrigation systems, and pest and disease conditions to ensure optimal plantation productivity.
Supervise and guide the agronomist team, supervisors, and operation field teams in executing treatments, ensuring proper application and follow‑up actions.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of agronomic activities, including trial data, laboratory inventories, and environmental indicators.
Drive research and development initiatives, translating findings into practical field applications and continuous improvement of agronomic practices.
Provide technical advisory and training to plantation colleagues, while ensuring compliance with SOPs, sustainability, and environmental standards and certification requirements.
Support team management and operational effectiveness, including resource planning, performance monitoring, and reporting to management.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Master/PHD) in Agronomy, Crop Science, Horticulture, or related field.
Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is an added advantage for stakeholder Management.
Minimum 7-8 years of relevant experience in medium to large-scale durian plantation operations.
Prior experiences should include the entire phenological stages of the durian tree, i.e., post-harvest recuperation, vegetative, flower induction, flowering, pollination, and fruit development.
Proven ability to conduct comprehensive field assessments and implement effective solutions to agronomic challenges.
Advanced and integrated understanding of crop nutrition, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), soil health, irrigation systems, and post-harvest handling.
Proven ability to handle aspects of agronomy certifications such as MyGAP and/or Malaysia Best.
