Job summary

Illuminance Technologies Group Sdn Bhd is recruiting a Buyer in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia, to source and manage materials for production and engineering activities. The role ensures timely procurement, cost competitiveness, supplier reliability, and compliance with FTZ procurement requirements.

The position offers a permanent full-time role with standard hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Mon–Fri). Diploma/degree in SCM or related field preferred, with experience in procurement and ERP/purchasing

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Relevant working experience in procurement or purchasing role is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or FTZ environment is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, components, and services according to production and project requirements.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery in line with production schedules.
• Negotiate pricing, lead time, and terms with suppliers.
• Manage and evaluate supplier performance including quality, delivery, and cost.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Logistics teams to support operational needs.
• Maintain purchasing records, pricing data, and supplier documentation.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with FTZ regulations and internal control procedures.
