Job summary

AIA in Malaysia seeks an experienced leader to head Procurement Support Operations and Accounts Payable, driving day-to-day operations, policy adherence, and KPI delivery. You will guide BPM updates, strengthen internal controls, and coordinate with Group Finance and Local Business Units to optimize costs and service quality.

The role requires 12–15+ years in procurement/payables leadership, deep accounting knowledge, and hands-on systems experience with Ariba, Concur, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement and payables related fields in shared services environment.
• 12 to 15+ years of supervisory or management experience in the above position.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
• Advanced knowledge of external reporting requirements for all reporting bases.
• Experience in operations systems (Ariba, Concur, SAP) and architecture.
• Technology savvy, especially in Agentic AI and Co-pilot.
• Good analytical, communication, presentation and soft skills.
• Good leadership and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Procurement Support Operations and Accounts Payable units in day-to-day operations in accordance with policies and standards.
• Monitor KPIs and report performance to Group and Local Business Units in a timely manner.
• Oversee and review BPMs for procurement and payables, ensuring proper controls.
• Supervise internal controls and strengthen weaknesses to improve efficiency.
• Review end-to-end systems and process design; implement recommended changes.
• Provide SME support on Group/Local BU projects and initiatives.
• Lead operating budget cycles and monitor spend for cost optimization.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including Group Finance and external auditors.
