Job summary

Plexus in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a production technician to support daily manufacturing by resolving process issues and assisting Process Engineering with qualifications and improvements.

You will fabricate and maintain jigs and fixtures, set up Back-of-Line equipment including wave soldering and aqueous cleaners, and layout manual assembly lines. This role requires data analysis for process control and the authority to act on quality and yield improvements.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma preferably with SMT/HLA/Rework experience or equivalent.
• Experience in hardware/final assembly and soldering in PCBA is an added advantage.
• Rework experience is encouraged.
• Able to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supports production in the resolution of process issues.
• Supports Process Engineering with process and equipment qualifications, process evaluation, and process improvements.
• Fabricates and maintains manufacturing jigs / fixtures.
• Performs daily set-up of Back-of-Line equipment, wave-soldering machine and aqueous cleaner.
• Performs set-up and layout of manual assembly lines
• Performs routine preventive maintenance of wave soldering machine and Back-of-Line equipment.
• Compiles and analyzes statistical data for critical processes.
• Creates profile boards and sets up profile parameters for wave soldering and re-flow machines.
• Has the authority to make decisions and take proper action in support of production processes quality and yield.
• Any additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements
