Job summary

The role requires Diploma/Certificate in related engineering, strong electrical/tester knowledge, soldering skills, and the ability to work on shift with overtime. English and Malay communication is essential; join a growing interconnects facility in Penang Science Park.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience in cable assembly manufacturing is an added advantage.
• Good electrical and testers knowledge.
• Good soldering knowledge and skills.
• Able to work on shift and support overtime.
• Good communication in English and Malay.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform maintenance for machines/equipment/testers to support production.
• Provide technical support and repairs during manufacturing process.
• Develop part assembly process flow and define process control specs.
• Assist in DFAM during new product development for easier production.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions to reduce defects.
• Monitor processes to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Support process improvements to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Assist in layout setup and utility preparation for new equipment.
• Assess safety risks and enforce safe operation of tools/equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on a scheduled basis.
• Review equipment stoppages and calibration frequency to prevent failures.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and raise purchase requests as needed.
• Ensure 5S compliance and keep the facility clean and organized.
