Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a manufacturing process engineer to sustain and optimize electronics PCBA/ SMT processes. You will work with Operations, Product Engineering, R&D, Quality and Planning to ensure on-time production with quality and cost control. The role emphasizes DFM/DFX, data-driven improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.

The candidate should have a B.S. in Engineering and at least 2+ years in a multinational electronics environment, with experience in high mix low volume

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
• 2+ years of experience in a multinational electronics PCBA/SMT process engineering.
• Experience from a high mix low volume environment; high technology OEM preferred.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD, JEDEC standards on PCBA.
• Experience in Lean, Root cause analysis, Data analysis and Six-sigma DMAIC methodology.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and independent working skills.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross functionally with Operations, R&D, Quality, Planning to sustain and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to improve KPIs (OEE, FPY, TPY, DPMO, on-time delivery, cost targets).
• Support new product introductions (NPI) balancing R&D and manufacturing needs.
• Design manufacturable processes (DFM/DFX) and develop tools, fixtures, and jigs.
• Work independently on complex problems through data analysis and research.
