Job summary

Plexus Corp in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical expertise across manufacturing, optimize production for efficiency and quality, train teams, and support new product introductions.

You will develop high-quality, cost-effective manufacturing solutions, apply statistical tools, and work in cross-disciplinary teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with Plexus processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 1 or more years of related experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
• Intermediate computer skills required.
• Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills.
• Experience with lab tools/test equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops manufacturing solutions that are high-quality and cost-effective for customer satisfaction.
• Uses tools and equipment to perform work including creation, analysis, and verification.
• Demonstrates discipline-specific understanding of Plexus Manufacturing processes and specs.
• Adheres to Plexus Manufacturing Processes in daily responsibilities.
• Produces project documentation per project needs in line with quality/change guidelines.

Purpose Statement: The process engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves offering guidance on best practices and equipment, optimizing production for efficiency and quality, training various teams, and supporting ongoing production activities. They also ensure the manufacturability of new products while adhering to standards and lead new product introduction processes.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Develops Manufacturing solutions/ Provide services that are high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy the customer's requirements.
• Utilizes appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary work including creation, analysis, and verification.
• Demonstrates a clear, discipline-specific understanding of the full Plexus Manufacturing processes/ Product Requirements & Specifications as it applies to their role.
• Successfully executes responsibilities in adherence to Plexus' Manufacturing Processes
• Produces comprehensive project documentation based on the needs of the project and in accordance with the quality and change management procedures and guidelines, as it applies to their role.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 1 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
