Job summary

POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM MANUFACTURING SDN. BHD in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to develop, document, and optimize processes for DC-DC converters used in power electronics.

You will support SMT/THT assembly, potting, and testing while ensuring IPC-A-610 compliance and robust documentation. The role involves implementing yield-enhancing improvements, collaborating with R&D and QA, and training operators on new procedures and equipment to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in power electronics manufacturing (DC-DC converters, AC-DC supplies, or related).
• Strong knowledge of PCB assembly (SMT/THT), potting, and testing processes.
• Experience in creating technical documentation (work instructions, test procedures, process flows).
• Hands-on experience with test & measurement equipment (multimeters, climatic chambers).
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and other industry standards.
• Fluent English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for DC-DC converter production (SMT, THT, potting, testing).

• Implement process improvements to enhance yield, efficiency, and product reliability.
• Ensure IPC-A-610 compliance and other industry requirements.
• Provide technical support to production teams.
• Investigate and resolve non-conformances through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Debug and optimize test setups for DC-DC modules (functional, electrical, environmental testing).
• Collaborate with R&D and QA teams to ensure smooth product transitions from prototype to mass production.
• Validate new processes and equipment to ensure manufacturability and repeatability.
• Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and work instructions.
