Job summary

Alloyplas Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Process Engineer to support tendering and project execution for air pollution control systems. You will prepare technical and commercial proposals, perform equipment sizing, and provide process calculations to meet customer requirements.

You will liaise with customers on tenders, work with the project team, QA and production, and travel to customer sites as needed for technical support and site visits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years' experience in manufacturing field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work long hours when needed.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals including equipment specification, costing, and drawings.
• Liaise with customers for tendering projects and related matters.
• Provide engineering process calculations and select/sizing process equipment per requirements.
• Coordinate with DOE for submissions related to air pollution control systems.
• Provide engineering and technical support to meet customer goals.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering, QA and Production to progress improvements.
• Develop and prepare work instructions and keep them up to date.
• Interface with clients, authorities, contractors, suppliers and consultants.

Job description

Process Engineer role involving preparation of technical and commercial proposals, liaising with customers on tendering projects, providing engineering process calculations and equipment selection, and delivering engineering and technical support to meet customer goals and expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of technical and commercial proposal including equipment specification, costing, and drawing
• Liaising with customers for tendering project and other related matters upon company's requirement
• Providing engineering process calculation and process equipment selection and sizing based on customer requirement and fulfil the authority specification
• Dealing with DOE officer and preparing the DOE submission for air pollution control system
• Provide engineering and technical support to meet customers goals and expectation
• Coordinate closely with Project Engineering, QA and Production team the progress of improvement
• Develop and prepare work instruction accordingly and up to date
• Liaise effectively with client, authorities, contractors, suppliers and consultants
• Position requires travel to customer sites for appropriate support

About you

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering field
• Minimum 2-3 years' working experience in manufacturing field
• Possess good interpersonal and communications skills
• Self-driven, aggressive, dynamic, innovative and result-oriented team player
• Conversant in various computer software applications like Auto-cad
• Willingness to perform long hours if necessary
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
