Job summary

MORIMATSU ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a design engineer for oil & gas facilities and chemical plants.

You will perform system hydraulic calculations, prepare datasheets, and manage P&ID drawings for construction, while coordinating with clients and EPCs. Strong English and teamwork are essential, with a willingness to relocate internationally. Typical candidates have a chemical engineering background and 3+ years in design, with proficiency in Autocad, HTRI, Pipeflow

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Engineering degree or equivalent, major Chemical Engineering.
• Good command of English; bilinguals a plus.
• Knowledge of HG, API codes relevant to process design and construction.
• 3+ years design experience in Oil & Gas facilities, chemical plants, refineries or power plants.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willing to relocate worldwide; overseas experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Autocad, HTRI, Pipeflow and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• System hydraulic calculations based on equipment and piping layouts.
• Prepare process datasheets for equipment, including static/rotary/instrument components.
• Calculate required PSV flow rate and finalize size selection.
• Draw and modify P&ID; release for construction per feedback.
• Clarify technical aspects with clients and EPCs.
• Provide technical support at vendor shops and Morimatsu assembly yard.
• Handle other technical/management tasks as assigned by line top.

Job description

Responsibilities

• 1) Responsible for System hydraulic calculation based on equipment layout and piping layout;
• 2) Responsible for preparing process datasheet for static equipment / rotary machine / instrument equipment / in-line piping equipment;
• 3) Responsible for calculating the required flow rate of PSV and finalizing the size selection;
• 4) Responsible for drawing and modifying P&ID , releasing P&ID for construction per the feedback from the concerned parties;
• 5) Responsible for Technical Clarifications with Client, EPC Companies;
• 6) Technical Support at vendor shop, Morimatsu assembly yard;
• 7) All other related technical / management jobs assigned by line top;

Job Requirement

• 1) Bachelor, Engineering degree or equivalent, majored in Chemical Engineering,；
• 2) Good command in English is must, bilinguals would be a plus;
• 3) Good command of MS Office, Autocad, HTRI, Pipeflow, etc;
• 4) Above 3 years design experience in Oil & Gas Facilities, Chemical Plant, Refineries, Power Plant construction;
• 5) Knowledge of relevant HG, API codes with respect to process design and construction;
• 6) Good communication skills and team work;
• 7) Willing to be relocated worldwide, similar overseas working experience would be a plus;
