Job summary

BMP Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Kulai Johor, is seeking an experienced engineer to develop and improve production processes for higher yield and productivity. The role focuses on engineering solutions and continuous improvement.

You will perform UPH and capacity studies, lead lean activities, conduct root-cause analysis, and ensure ISO9001, ISO14001, and IATF16949 compliance while maintaining BOMs and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Material or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with PFMEA, Lean, 7 QC tools, ISO9001/14001, IATF16949 preferred.
• Ability to lead projects, strong analytical and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve production processes to optimize yield and productivity.
• Perform UPH and capacity utilization studies.
• Lead lean activities including value add study and pull system implementation.
• Provide engineering solutions through root cause analysis, FMEA, CAPA actions.
• Coordinate project transfer including first article builds and equipment transfer.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and maintain BOM and Work Instructions.
• Maintain ISO9001, ISO14001 and IATF16949 quality systems.

Job description

This role involves developing and improving production processes to achieve optimum performance in terms of yield and productivity, with a focus on engineering solutions and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

Develop and improve production processes to achieve optimum performances in terms of yield and productivity

Perform UPH and capacity utilization studies.

Lean activities: UPH improvement, value add study and pull system implementation.

Provide engineering solutions to process issues through root cause analysis, FMEA and implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions.

Coordinate project transfer, inclusive of planning for first article builds, transfer / procuring of equipment, tooling, template and fixtures.

To ensure products conform to customer specifications and requirements.

To maintain Engineering procedures, Bill of Materials and Work Instructions.

Maintain the department’s quality system as well as develop new systems to meet the quality objectives of the organization

Ensure that the department conforms to the ISO9001, ISO14001 and IATF16949.

Any other reasonable duties which may be required by superior.

About You :

Possess a diploma/degree background in Material Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of working experience in similar role

Experience in any, some or all of the following processes would definitely be an added advantage: Ultrasonic welding, Die cutting, Laser cutting, PU dispensing, Hotmelt dispensing and pleating for filtration products.

Knowledge in PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing, 7 QC tools and etc.

Knowledge in 6 Sigma, ISO9001, ISO 14001, IATF16949, AutoCAD and SolidWorks will be added advantage.
