Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a hydro engineering professional to contribute to the design of hydropower projects from prefeasibility through detailed design, including pumped storage considerations.

The role requires dam design expertise, strong interdisciplinary coordination with geology, geotechnical, hydrology, structures, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical teams, plus excellent report writing and client presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Experience designing hydropower projects from prefeasibility to detailed design.
• Experience selecting and designing different types of dams.
• Ability to coordinate with geology, geotechnical, hydrology, structures, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical teams.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Experience presenting to clients.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of hydropower projects from prefeasibility to detailed design.
• Select and design various dam types as required.
• Coordinate interfacing disciplines to ensure integrated designs.
• Prepare clear, comprehensive design reports for stakeholders.
• Present project progress and findings to clients.

• Experienced in the design of hydropower projects at different stages ranging from prefeasibility study to detailed design of conventional large hydro and pumped storage projects .
• Have good experience in selecting and designing different types of dams.
• Have good appreciation of the complexities in the interfacing with other design disciplines including geology, geotechnical, hydrology, structures, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical.
• Be an excellent report writer.
• Have experience in presenting to clients.
