Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Staff Engineer in the Power Solutions Group (PSG) BU Operations to drive cost and quality strategies across the organization, partnering with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Technology Development teams.

You will develop front-end and back-end cost/quality strategies, optimize initiatives, and collaborate with multiple teams to improve cost structures, supply-chain performance, and product quality in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Eight to ten years of experience in semiconductor business operations and/or hands-on semiconductor manufacturing, including wafer fabrication, assembly, and/or test.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quality, test engineering, or product engineering is highly preferred.
• Experience in new product development (NPD) and release to market (RTM) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to communicate concise findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• This is a fully office-based position.

Responsibilities

• Analyze high-volume data to identify opportunities to improve product cost structures and quality.
• Use multiple tools and systems to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply-chain improvements.
• Collaborate across teams to implement PSG business priorities.
• Work with global, cross-functional teams to address customer quality issues, returns (RMA), and cost, while driving continuous improvements that reduce customer return rates.
