Job summary

ON Semiconductor Malaysia seeks a Staff Engineer in the Power Solutions Group to drive cost and quality initiatives across the organization.

You will partner with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Technology Development to develop cost and quality strategies for discrete, IC, and power modules, and help improve supply-chain performance.

• Partner with BU Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to improve cost structures and product quality.
• Develop and improve methods, systems, and processes in a fast-changing environment.
• Collaborate with product engineers and project managers to advance BU Operations initiatives focused on cost and quality.

Job description

Position Overview

As a Staff Engineer in Power Solutions Group (PSG) Business Unit Operations, you will drive strategic cost and quality programs across the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to execute PSG's cost and quality strategies in partnership with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Technology Development teams.

• Develop front-end fabrication and back-end cost and quality strategies, optimization initiatives, and design solutions that support the needs of our rapidly growing discrete, integrated circuit, and power module businesses.
• Partner with Business Unit Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other teams to improve cost structures, supply-chain performance, and product quality.
• Develop and continuously improve methods, systems, and processes in a complex, fast-changing environment.
