AECOM is seeking a Senior Architect to support the Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) project in Malaysia. You will lead architectural coordination across multidisciplinary teams, develop design solutions, and liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure high-quality deliverables.

The role requires a strong background in BIM, Revit, and design documentation, with experience in infrastructure or industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of architectural experience, preferably in large-scale infra or Design & Build.
• Strong hands-on experience with BIM and Revit for design, modelling, and coordination.

• Lead architectural coordination with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and process disciplines.
• Review and optimize designs for functionality, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
• Identify and resolve design interfaces and clashes within a BIM environment.
• Act as the main architectural contact with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities on design matters.
• Attend design reviews, workshops, and coordination sessions to provide architectural input.
• Support BIM coordination activities, including model reviews and clash detection.
• Independently manage project deliverables, schedules, and quality expectations.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and independent Senior Architect to support the Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) Project. This role will lead architectural coordination across multidisciplinary teams, manage project interfaces, and work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver high-quality design solutions.

• Develop and deliver architectural designs, BIM models, drawings, and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead architectural coordination with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and other specialist disciplines.
• Review and optimize designs to ensure functionality, constructability, maintainability, and compliance with project requirements.
• Identify and resolve design interfaces, spatial clashes, and coordination issues within a multidisciplinary BIM environment.
• Act as the key architectural point of contact, liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities on design matters, technical submissions, and project requirements.
• Attend design review meetings, technical workshops, and coordination sessions, providing architectural input and solutions.
• Support BIM coordination activities, including model reviews, clash detection, and coordinated drawing production.
• Independently manage project deliverables, schedules, and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• Minimum 8 years of architectural experience, preferably in large-scale infrastructure, industrial, or Design & Build projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in Autodesk Revit for architectural design, BIM modelling, and coordination.
• Proven experience producing architectural designs and technical documentation, not limited to coordination activities.
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to confidently present, discuss, and resolve design and technical matters with stakeholders.
• Experience working closely with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven, independent, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred

Experience in infrastructure, industrial, waste management, power, or process plant projects, with familiarity in Singapore project delivery and BIM requirements.
