Job summary

AWP Architects seeks a capable Architect to lead design, planning, and supervision of projects from concept to completion. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing timelines, and ensuring regulatory compliance across diverse assignments.

With minimum 5 years’ experience, you will contribute to innovative designs aligned with client objectives and mentor junior staff, while the Johor Office focuses on local and regional projects in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or related field; professional certifications being an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years local or international project experience.
• Previous experience in handling diverse projects across varying scales is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the general design, architectural input and technical management of the projects.
• Complete the day-to-day executive work including design presentations, authority submissions and project correspondence.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing innovative designs aligned with project objectives and client expectations.
• Liaise with the Project Director/Associates and Architectural Assistants, Executives and Technical Staff.
• Directs the Project team in the coordination, organization and preparation of Construction Documents and Drawings.
• Attend Project/Site Meetings and Inspections.
• Identify and record any product quality problems and initiate solutions through designated channels.
• Act as the primary point for technical leadership on projects and mentor younger Architects when needed.

About the Role

The candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing architectural projects from preliminary concept stage to completion.

This role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing innovative designs aligned with project objectives and client expectations. It exposes the Architect to all stages of a project. Minimum work experience of 5 years. Experience in Project Management, including planning, execution, and delivery of architectural projects.

This job opening is exclusively for our Johor Office.

Responsibilities
