Job summary

Wong Engineering in Malaysia is seeking a cost accounting professional to prepare product and service pricing for RFQ processes, and to work with Sales, Marketing and Engineering on pricing strategies. The role involves reviewing pricing for competitiveness, analyzing data, and developing forecasts and pricing tools.

Candidates should have at least a diploma or degree in Finance/Accounting and 2+ years in cost accounting, with strong analytical and communication skills to perform under pressure

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in Cost Accounting or related field.
• Analytical thinker with strong spreadsheet modelling, problem-solving, reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Prepare costing of products and service pricing for target pricing to support Request For Quotation (RFQ) processes.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and engineering department on supporting pricing strategies and driving corporate profitability.
• Review pricing and provide information if the price unable to compete for business.
• Analyzed pricing and costing data, develop appropriate forecast and models as well as pricing tools.

REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in Cost Accounting or any related field is required for this position.
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual, spreadsheet modelling, problem-solving skills reporting and communication.
• Ability work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
