FLEXTRONICS TECHNOLOGY (DL – PENANG) SDN BHD in Penang is seeking a skilled machinist to operate milling and planning machines, set cutting parameters, read blueprints, and monitor tolerances to ensure quality.

You will handle measuring tools, perform routine machine maintenance, and document production output while complying with safety and quality standards in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, sketches or work orders.
• Knowledge of metal properties and shop mathematics to determine tolerances and operations.
• Experience operating conventional tool room machinery and performing routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Position and secure work pieces on machines using holding devices and measuring instruments.
• Select and install cutting tools and set cutting speeds and depths.
• Observe machine operation and adjust controls to meet tolerances.
• Verify alignment of work pieces with gauges or calipers.
• Record production output and maintain logs.
• Perform tool and cathode preparation and basic maintenance.
