Job summary

Flowserve in Malaysia is seeking a Precision Assembler to prepare and assemble a variety of equipment and tools, and perform test requirements. The role includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection and reassembly during repairs, using modern materials and tools to ensure high-quality deliveries.

The candidate will have 1–2 years in mechanical assembly, a background in mechanical engineering, and be able to work independently, with overtime and weekend flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• Background in the mechanical industry with 1–2 years in mechanical assembly.
• Strong self-motivation, willingness to learn and good work ethic.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or SPM; 0–2 years relevant experience.
• Able to work independently and overtime/weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic equipment and perform routine tasks per established processes.
• Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment; prepare and provide support.
• Follow mandatory procedures to meet quality, safety and regulatory standards.
• Exchange information with team through courteous interactions.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 10 kg as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Title

Your Role and Impact

The Precision Assembler will be responsible for the preparation of assembly work and documentation. This position will also assemble a variety of equipment and tools and perform test requirements. Additionally, the Precision Assembler will be responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, inspecting and reassembly during any repair process. This person will have access to the most modern materials and tools at our facility to accomplish these expectations to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating basic equipment and carry out routine tasks.
• Carry out operational tasks by following established processes.
• Help to maintain and repair equipment and appliances by carrying out preparations and providing assistance.
• Follow basic mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
• Follow a straightforward mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.
• Exchange information with people by having courteous interactions with them.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and physically fit to safely lift up to, 10kg.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• With a background in the mechanical industry,
• 1-2 years working experience in mechanical assembly, sand blasting will be a plus.
• Good communication/interpersonal skills.
• Strong self-motivation, willingness to learn, and work ethics.
• Basic data input of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to work overtime and weekends if needed.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / SPM and / or 0-2 years relevant experience.(Mechatronic is a plus)
