Job summary

Versatile Creation Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Assembly Lead to oversee production of vacuum valve components, ensure quality, and maintain safety and productivity. Diploma/Certificate/SKM in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering is required, with at least three years of assembly experience and strong

To lead and execute hands-on assembly operations, ensuring product quality, efficiency, and compliance with VAT Manufacturing’s standards. The role involves assembly processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and mentoring junior assembler to strengthen operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on assembly of vacuum valve components and related products according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
• Lead assembly line activities, ensuring adherence to productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Conduct troubleshooting and corrective actions for assembly-related issues.
• Support process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train, coach, and guide junior assemblers to enhance team competency.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure proper documentation of assembly processes, test results, and quality checks.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in optimal condition.

Requirements

• Diploma/Certificate/ SKM in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in assembly operations, preferably in manufacturing or precision engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical assembly processes, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Proven leadership skills with experience in guiding and mentoring technicians.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methods is an added advantage.
