Job summary

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd is seeking a meticulous Quantity Surveying professional to support pre-contract activities and drive the procurement pipeline in Malaysia. You will assist in preparing tender packages, review quantities, and ensure governance across commercial and technical portfolios.

The role requires a QS degree, 1–3 years' experience or strong fresh graduates, advanced Excel skills, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
1 to 3 years of relevant industry experience is advantageous; high-achieving fresh graduates with a strong QS foundation are welcome.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially advanced Excel).
Ability to leverage AI tools to optimize workflow efficiency.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Strong analytical, numerical, and time-management skills with ability to meet tender deadlines.

Responsibilities

Pre-Tender Management: solicit, review, and compile Bills of Quantities, technical scopes, specifications, and pricing schedules.
Quantity Take-Offs & Technical Review: evaluate take-offs, drawings, and measurements for consistency before tender.
Contract Administration Support: facilitate post-tender clarifications, manage initiation workflows, track variations, close-out docs.
Risk & Compliance: maintain document control, ensure governance, identify commercial risks for escalation.
Adaptability: integrate into ongoing pre-contract workflows and contribute to core tender preparation and procurement.
